Accountant (Salt Lake City)
Seafood Processing, Sales and Distribution Company with operations in Salt Lake City, Tucson and Mexico and is seeking a hands-on, motivated and experienced Accountant in its Salt Lake facility.
Job description includes implementing, performing and managing all accounting functions for two growing companies. The ideal candidate is someone who works independently, is analytical, deadline oriented, and has the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced setting. A thorough understanding of accounting principles and experience with QuickBooks is required. You must be prepared to 'get your hands dirty' with the operational side of the company and be comfortable with a broad range of responsibilities in a dynamic, changing environment. The Company will be implementing a new accounting and production software system this fall and this position will be a key part of that project. The position has opportunities for additional responsibility and development toward a controller role. Further, Spanish-English bilingual would be a plus.

Qualifications:
Accounting or finance degree with 3
years of experience
Experience working with QuickBooks
Excellent written, verbal, and analytical skills
Strong work ethic, initiative and attention to detail
Exceptional integrity and honesty
Spanish and English Bilingual a plus
This is a full time position and will report directly to the General Manager and the CEO. Salary will be based on experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities:
Hands-on responsibility for overall accounting functions
A/P and A/R, including collections
Daily review and oversight of all warehouse receiving and inventory control
Daily review of sales invoicing
G/L Management & Reconciliations
Month-end Close and Financial Statement Preparation
In-depth Analysis and reporting
Cash Management
Weekly Payroll oversight
Creating and Maintaining Budgets
Creating and updating various project and financial reports
Opportunities for management training and additional management responsibilities.
