The Community Health Program Manager 1 will serve as the Assistant Director for the Bureau of Child Health (BCH), within the Division of Family Health (DFH). The Assistant Director will assist in providing leadership, direction, and oversight of the Bureau and will report directly to the Director of BCH. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
overseeing federally funded Title V initiatives including administrative and programmatic operations of the Community-Based Health Unit including Children and Youth with Special Health Care Needs (CYSHCN), CYSHCN Support Services, Sickle Cell Disease and Regional Support Center programs. Position also includes responsibilites assisting with programmatic operations of the School Health Unit and Oral Health Unit. Additional duties include oversight of data system implementation, feedback and modification; program development, implementation, and evaluation; legislative activities; liaise with various local, state and federal agencies and stakeholders; oversee contract management and data reporting and monitoring; and ensure initiatives are implemented in accordance with federal and state requirements. In the absence of the Director, the Assistant Director assumes the duties of the Director.

Salary Range:
From $91365 to $115490 Annually
Minimum Qualification
Permanent Transfer:
Current DOH employee with permanent or contingent-permanent status as a Community Health Program Manager 1, M2 OR current NYS employee with one year or more permanent or contingent-permanent service at or above a SG-25 or M1 and eligible to transfer under Section 52.6 of the Civil Service Law. Provisional:
A bachelor's degree AND five years professional public health experience in a governmental public health agency or public health program that receives funding from a public health governmental agency. Of the five years required experience, two years must include supervision of professional staff and the following management
Responsibilities:
program planning and implementation, AND program evaluation and monitoring, AND development and implementation of policies and procedures. The required professional experience must include either:
Designing or implementing a public health outreach, promotion, or disease prevention program; OR Conducting disease surveillance or a disease control program. For the purposes of this exam, a public health program focuses primarily on the prevention of disease through outreach and public health education or health promotion, including population-based plans of care, not just plans of care for individual patients, or the study of the prevalence or causes of disease through population-based studies. Preferred
Qualifications:
Professional experience in the administration of public health programming, including knowledge of program development and implementation and Department of Health administrative policies and procedures. Leadership experience in the design and administration of State funding opportunities as well as federal grant application development. Must demonstrated strong interpersonal and organizational skills and excellent independent decision-making, writing and editing, and critical thinking capacities; experience in supervising professional staff across multiple programs and experience interpreting and implementing state and federal policy and regulation.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
