Under the general direction of the Unit Supervisor and the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse and a Licensed Vocational Nurse for the 4 TH The Nursing Assistant supports the medical care of patients under the direction of the Medical Staff and a Registered Nurse pursuant to the mission and objectives of the hospital.
The Nursing Assistant will appropriately communicate with physicians, co-workers, volunteers, other hospital departments, and patient family members according to the standards of behavior.
The Nursing Assistant must be able to assess his/her learning needs to enhance personal and professional development.
The Nursing Assistant will increase knowledge and skills related to patient care by attending workshops, formal classes, seminars and in services.
