Business Development Lead Technology Industry (Paid Membership Site) - Full Service International

As a Business Development Lead Technology Industry at Latham, you will contribute your expertise to work with the Industry Group Chairs within Cleantech, Communications, Internet & Digital Media, Information Technology and Semiconductors Industry Teams to develop the marketing strategy and implement the strategic plan of the global Industry team.
This position is viewed as a leading subject-matter adviser and should have substantive Industry knowledge and relevant Industry experience including an in-depth understanding of the Industry participants, trends and demand for legal services.
Your responsibilities as a Business Development Lead - Technology Industry will include these and other critical functions:
Collaborating with firm resources to prepare routine analyses of industry competition, market trends, internal financial information, business opportunities and pitch activity in efforts to develop and implement industry focused strategies both globally and by region.
Serving as a lead or consultant on strategic client teams within the industry.
Executing client targeting programs and client relationship management including client feedback interviewing and cross-selling and targeting activities within the industry.
Collaborating with the Industry Group Chairs, Global Proposal team, Practice Development Managers and Regional BD teams to draft and maintain industry specific content and rankings for proposal management system.
Overseeing the industry specific global directory and award submissions and assists with industry specific regional submissions.
Developing in-depth knowledge of and acting as firm resource regarding:
lawyer expertise, product expertise, firm experience, industry/trade group organizations, legal, Industry and business trends, Industry-specific marketing collateral, and Industry-specific media.
Participating in and organizing regular meetings or conference calls with Industry team leadership including but not limited to annual business meetings and partner meetings.
Working to ensure quality professional product, as well as delivery of all work within established time frames.
Making recommendations and working with management to develop procedures, processes, and workflow to ensure maximum efficiency in the Industry.
Partnering with the global PR team to ensure coverage of successful matters, initiatives and products in key markets and significant matters are publicized internally and externally in accordance with the firm's public relations policy.
Staying abreast of developments and trends in the Industry and remaining informed of all major new clients and significant matters.
Completing special projects as assigned.
Promoting effective work practices, working as a team member, and showing respect for co-workers.
