Bachelors of Science Education:
Master's degree in Nursing preferred.
BSN or BSW required.
Licenses and/or Certifications Required:
Maintains current license by the Texas State Board of Nursing.
Maintains certification in any of the following areas:
Oncology, Hospice, Palliative Care, Gerontology Requirements:
Five to seven years of clinical practice, to include three years of management experience and three years of Palliative care, pain management, hospice, end of life care oncology or chronic disease care experience.
- Demonstrates ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast paced environment.
- Demonstrates ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of personnel, and demonstrate empathy, flexibility and objectiveness.
- Maintains good relations with medical staff, nurses, patients, visitors and all other hospital employees.
- Demonstrates initiative, is a self starter, works independently within time frames delegated.
- Demonstrates compliance with hospital dress code.
- Demonstrates accountability for own actions.
Proactive not reactive, analyzes problems accurately, develops recommendations and takes appropriate actions to problem solve.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
