Sr Supplier Quality Engineer - Joy Global Mining (longview, texas)

Responsibilities:
Actively assists others with the creation and execution of effective development plans.
Assist the Supplier Quality Manager with Supplier Quality training activities.
Maintain and develop Supplier Quality procedures relating to subcontract and purchasing.
Review with the suppliers the quality plan that they have developed to assure that P and H's quality requirements are met.
Utilize the Supplier Corrective Action System.
This includes working with both our customers (P and H sites) and our suppliers to assure that correct countermeasures are developed and are continually adhered to.
Lead the project team with as a liaison between the supplier and P and H to assure that quality plans, requirement and critical characteristics are known and are followed.
Gather and analyze information related to supplier/subcontractor quality history to assess suppliers capability and capacity to produce P and H products.
Review with the suppliers first articles, on:
going process capability and capacity and audits.
Develop suppliers so that they know our requirements; lead:
time reduction, reduced PPM and on:
time delivery.
Meet with our suppliers quarterly.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in related field or a minimum of 5 years of equivalent training and technical experience Good communication skills both written and oral are required.
Thorough working knowledge of ISO 9001:
2008 and other recognized quality concepts.
Must be able to demonstrate excellent customer service skills.
Must be able to work well with suppliers.
