Responsibilities:
Assist the process engineers in the development, design, implementation and follow up of industrial scale performance and capacity tests Work closely area / department leads in the troubleshooting of plant, circuit and equipment Support Maintenance and Operations in the development of maintenance strategies for key plant equipment Prepare, review, and revise operating procedures, as required Lead the development of the control charts and response plans and ensure they are up to date and included on the training programs Support operations in maintaining good level of compliance with sampling, instrumentation integrity and ensure the adequate PMs are in place Support operations with all short engineering solutions required for the plant operation and coordinate and ensure the permanent solutions are implemented as required Spend time on shift to become familiar with operating issues and operating personnel Develop and maintain the process control strategies and operating philosophy in responsible areas Qualifications are:
Typically 10 years of related industry experience as a process/production engineer with an Engineering Degree in Chemical, Process, Mineral Processing or Industrial Engineering Experience in oil sands, mineral processing or an industrial environment Source:
