Job Description The Position Graphic Design Manager (EK) Consumer Products / Cosmetics Artistic - Graphic Artist Full-time United States - California - Central Valley - Modesto The Compensation Benefits - Full Interview Travel Reimbursed - Yes Detailed Job Description SUMMARY Responsible for managing the overall efforts of the creative team which includes the conceptualizing, developing and delivering innovative strategic on-target solutions for all projects, (Packaging, POS and all supporting creative functions) for an assigned business unit.
Also is responsible for executing strategic vision and direction set by the creative services department leadership team as well as supporting the establishing project budgets for brand optimizations, brand refreshes, line extensions and execution of existing platforms.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Contributes concepts and sketches, and actively participates in internal reviews of creative projects.
Ensures that a high quality of creative work is delivered with a strong attention to detail while maintaining consistently high standards.
Studies the creative marketplace, stays current with trends and innovation; develops and maintains an understanding of 3- dimensional structural solutions.
Manages design presentation preparation including mock-ups, mounting and PowerPoint summaries.
Manages project organization for all project binders; archives design solutions and illustrations.
Ensures that travel and entertainment budget, training and general expenditures remain within budgeted allowance.
Engages in long term client relations with a dedication to the client business needs.
Delivers professional client presentations in a clear, concise and direct manner that are engaging, visually compelling, persuasive and supported by a sound rationale and strategy.
Collaborates with team members to meet expectations and standards that have been established for the creative design department.
Conducts quality control review including proofing, reviewing creative output and project processes.
Keeps accurate personal timesheets and timely project documentation.
Takes advantage of training opportunities offered by E & J Gallo for technical or interpersonal skills.
Must maintain satisfactory attendance, to include timeliness.

QUALIFICATIONS MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor s degree plus 5 years of graphic design or digital design experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility OR Associates degree plus 7 years of graphic design or digital design experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility OR 9 years of graphic design or digital design experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
Package design experience.
Skilled in the use of the Apple Macintosh platform, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop at an advanced level; Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office suite at a basic level Required to work extended hours when necessary to support the design team in meeting deadlines.
High School Diploma or GED.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor s degree plus 8 years of graphic or digital design experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
Supervisory/management experience.
Design experience in spirits, beer or beverage industry.
Skilled in color, design and typography.
Skilled in managing multiple projects and working well under pressure.
Skilled in using constructive criticism as a development opportunity Skilled in attention to detail.
Skilled in coping with change and multi-tasking.
Experience following established processes.
