Select Staff has partnered with a premier manufacturer in search of entry-level technically oriented Production Technicians to join this R&D manufacturing team. This position is responsible for a variety of tasks to include, but not limited to machine operation, testing, documentation, and supporting related tasks in other areas.
Multiple Openings for Shifts:
1st 8:00am to 5:00pm
2nd 4:30pm to 12:30am
3rd 12:30am to 8:30am
NOTE: MUST BE AVAILABLE AND OPEN TO WORKING OT, POSSIBLY TO INCLUDE NIGHTS AND/OR WEEKENDS
Key focus of this position includes, but is not limited to:
Conduct machining tests with a focus on safety
Monitor experiments, observe, calculate, record results and draw conclusions
Maintain detailed logs of work performed
Ensure manufacturing processes and quality meet and/or exceed requirements & expectations
Maintain supply inventory / stock for lab use
Maintain an organized, safe, & clean work environment to include all related tools/equipment
Education, skills and abilities required / preferred include:
Must have a Minimum HS diploma or GED
Mechanical Engineering or manufacturing experience preferred
Proficient in performing machining tests; organizing tools & production environment; design components and test fixtures; maintaining accurate and details records / documentation
Able to work effectively in a multi-cultural, diverse and collaborative team environment with self-directed initiative
Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills required
Possess a passion for learning & gaining new capabilities and skills
Proficient in simple algebraic equations / calculations
Proficient in use of MS Excel and related programs preferred
Able to work within a production environment and familiar with stringent safety procedures
Able to lift and carry materials weighing up to 100 lbs
Must possess a high degree of attention to detail and value quality of work performed
Must be professional in conduct and appearance
Compensation: $10/hour
overtime pay
full benefitsEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
