NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED : This is an excepted position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the National Guard. Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform. Acceptance of an excepted position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment.
REMARKS: This position is being advertised as an indefinite appointment and applicant selected may be released at any time. This position is located in an ANG Aviation Wing, Mission Support Group, Services Flight. The primary purpose of this position is to provide administrative and services support and serves as the focal point for administrative and logistics activities within the Services Flight.

EMPLOYMENT STATUS : Excepted Service Male/Female Enlisted Personnel (E3/AIC to E6/TSGT)
WHO CAN APPLY:
GROUP I - All qualified Male/Female Enlisted Personnel (E3/A1C to E6/TSGT) currently employed (permanent) in the Virginia Air National Guard Military Technician Program.
GROUP II - All qualified Virginia Air National Guard Male/Female Enlisted Personnel (E3/A1C - E6/TSGT), regardless of employment status (Traditional, Military Technician or AGR). To be considered as a Group II applicant, proof of appointment/enlistment in the Virginia National Guard must be attached if the appointment/enlistment occurred within 60 days prior to, or during, the advertisement period.
MILITARY CRITERIA: Applicant must be qualified and eligible for award of an MOS as follows: AFSC: 3MOX1
MILITARY ASSIGNMENT : Applicant selected for this military technician position must occupy a military assignment in the Virginia Air National Guard that ensures proper grade, unit, and AFCS prior to placement.

Responsibilities: Coordinates and administers the Food Service Program for the unit, ensuring maximum accountability and appropriate use of food service resources, in part by adopting the role of Quality Assurance Evaluator (QAE). Manages the administration of lodging support for eligible members performing in an official military capacity (i.e Unit Training Assembly (UTA) and Split Unit Training Assemblies (SUTA), deployments,home station training, incoming deployment or evaluation teams, staff assistance teams, visiting VIP's and transit crews). Coordinates the necessary unit level Air Expeditionary Force (AEF) activities. Ensures personnel and equipment are completely compliant with readiness related requirements. Oversees the verification of contract requirements, invoicing, and validation of contract completion requirements.Performs other duties as assigned.
_Minimum Requirements:_ Experience, education or training involving administrative or clerical experience (i.e., applying guidelines, rules and regulations to assignments, composing correspondence, researching and compiling information and data, and records administration). Experience using computer and automation systems.
SPECIALIZED
Experience: Must have at least 12 months experience, education or training evaluating and determining regulatory compliance. Experience using guidelines, methods, precedents and techniques applicable to the specific programs or phases relative to the position. Experience conducting studies, preparing reports, and making changes to eliminate ineffective operations.
Quality of
Experience: Length of time is not of itself qualifying. Candidates' experience should be evaluated on the basis of duties performed rather than strictly on the rank of the individual; however, established compatibility criteria/assignments must be followed. The applicant's record of experience, training, and education must show possession of the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to fully perform the duties of the position to be filled.
SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR SPECIALIZED
Experience: Completion of 2 academic years of education in an accredited college or university will satisfy the requirements for GS-4 positions. Only education in excess of the first 60 semester hours (i.e., beyond the second year) is creditable toward meeting the specialized experience requirement. One full academic year of study (30 semester hours) _beyond the second year_is equivalent to 6 months of specialized experience for GS-5 positions.
Incumbent must maintain membership in the National Guard.
Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.
Selectee may be subject to a one-year probationary/trial period.
