The Chaplain supports the bereavement program with the provision of spiritual support to patients/families secondary to their desires and belief system and consistent with Company policies and procedures. The Chaplain is responsible for implementing and coordinating all activities of the Hospice's spiritual services program and the delivery of spiritual services to patients/families.
Must be an individual who by ordination or by ecclesiastical endorsement from the individual's denomination has been approved to function in a pastoral capacity.
He/she may also be an individual who has received certification in Clinical Pastoral Education which meets the requirements for the College of Chaplains.
Must have demonstrated ability to be open, sensitive, flexible and ecumenical.
Must have demonstrated experience in working with patients/families dealing with life-threatening illness and death.
Must possess knowledge of the working environment of a home health and hospice agency, including performing services in a client's home.
Must have effective communication skills.
