Cardiology Associates seeks a medical receptionist for our clinical office located at the Washington Hospital Center. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced work environment with changing priorities and the ability to maintain patient confidentiality. Responsibilities:
Patient check in and check out
Scheduling of appointments
Collecting and entering patient co-payments
Patient insurance verification
Following detailed processes and multi-tasking
Answering and using a multi-line phone system
Qualifications:
High School Diploma
Three years experience in a health care setting, including the regular use of computerized scheduling system, knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-9 and CPT coding, and in policies, procedures, rules and regulations of insurance companies.
Demonstrated ability to operate multi-line telephone systems
Knowledge of cardiology terminology preferred
Must be able to type at least 35 words per minute
