Position Description
Assembles electronic components, subassemblies, products, or systems, which include soldering together components to assemble fabricated metal items, as specified by work orders, diagrams, or layout.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES: include the following:
Reads work orders, follows production drawings and sample assemblies, or receives verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed.
Positions and aligns parts in specified relationship to each other in jig, fixture, or other holding device.
Crimps, stakes, screws, bolts, rivets, welds, solders, cements, press fits, or performs similar operations to join or secure parts in place.
Mounts assembled components, such as transformers, resistors, transistors, capacitors, integrated circuits, and sockets, on chassis panel.
Connects component lead wires to printed circuit or routes and connects wires between individual component leads and other components, connectors, terminals, and contact points.
Installs finished assemblies or subassemblies in probes.
Assembles and attaches hardware, such as caps, clamps, knobs, and switches, to assemblies.
Performs intermediate assembly tasks, such as potting, encapsulating, sanding, cleaning, epoxy bonding, curing, stamping, etching, and color coding parts and assemblies.
Adjusts or trims materials from components to achieve specified electrical or dimensional characteristics.
Performs online go-not-go testing and inspection to ensure parts and assemblies meet production specifications and standards.
Uses hand tools such as long nose pliers, side cutter and soldering iron to perform work.
Good hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity to work with small parts.
May refer to technical drawings, engineering notices, etc.
Reassembles or reworks (solder) units as required.
Adhere to safety and company policies and procedures.
Other duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS: include the following:
Ability to perform multiple tasks at the same time.
Ability to follow workplace safety standards.
Excellent interpersonal skills under stressful situations.
Ability to organize and prioritize.
ABILITY TO COMPLETE THE SOLDERING CERTIFICATION TEST WITHIN 90 DAYS OF EMPLOYMENT IS REQUIRED.
Position Requirements
Minimum high school diploma/GED.
One year prior experience in an assembly manufacturing environment preferred.
Soldering experience preferred.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
