The Vice President- Information Technology is responsible for leading the development of custom software applications to support the companys business. This role requires the management of a large software development team comprised of employees, third party consulting firms, and off shore resource.
Lead a team of 100
resources involved in custom software development, maintenance, and support.
Collaboratively work with peers who are responsible for packaged software, infrastructure, mobile, and dashboarding/reporting.
Develop and maintain an appropriate IT organization structure that supports the needs of the company
Identify opportunities for the appropriate and cost-effective investment in systems and resources
Ensure software methodologies (Agile/SCRUM) are appropriately used, development standards are met, and financial controls and quality are built into all systems.
Control performance objectives and manage significant project budgets
Align IT objectives and programs to corporate objectives and strategies
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in computer science or related field required.
Masters degree preferred.

years experience in managing software development teams.
7
years experience in technology platforms and systems.
Demonstrate leadership roles in previous senior executive positions.
Experience directing large scale custom software development teams (50
FTEs)
Ability to develop and manage operating and capital budgets
Ability to balance competing priorities, complex situations and tight deadlines
Acquisition due diligence and business integration experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to third party development firms and negotiate vendor contracts
Experience managing offshore development resources.
Preferred technical experience to include: Visual Studio, TFS, .NET, SQL Server
Experience in logistics, transportation, environmental regulation are a plus.
