Our client, a well-known retail organization in Center City, is seeking a Human Resources and Payroll Specialist to provide administrative and operational support to the HR Manager and Sr. Bookkeeper. The Human Resources and Payroll Specialist will be responsible for managing associate benefits, supporting the entire payroll process, basic training programs and coordination while assisting with HR issues as needed. The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree and 3
years of experience in a Payroll/HR role.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

Manage vendors, educate associates and recommend changes to benefit plans
Ensure accurate invoicing
Manage HR records
Administer benefits programs
Manage benefit enrollment process
Audit and maintain timekeeping records
Create reports
Process payroll deductions and changes
General ledger entries
Track employee PTO
Maintain employee data
Develop and implement policies and procedures
Provide general support to HR and payroll departments as needed


Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree
3
years of experience in an HR role
PHR preferred
Minimum of 3 years of payroll experience for 100 or more employees
Minimum of 2 years of experience in benefits administration
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Experience coordinating training programs
Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Strong organizational and time management skills
Detail oriented
Ability to work varied hours/days as needed
Ability to travel to various offices (locally)as required
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
