The New Marketing CRM Support Team will initially consist of two staff members and will report to the Associate Director for Alumni Engagement in the MSU Alumni Association. This team would be responsible for developing the platform roadmap, encouraging the use of the platform and supporting the colleges, units, and alumni communities who are operating in that platform. This would include working directly with the software supplier to determine necessary product enhancements, working with AIS/DS team members to ensure that the product is fully integrated with the Advance database and building out and supporting a broad user group across University Advancement and the MSU Alumni Association's alumni communities.
Characteristic Duties and
Responsibilities:
Serve as the lead for the University Advancement CRM implementation ( iModules).
Assist the Executive Director of the MSU Alumni Association with negotiations between the vendor (currently iModules) and Michigan State University.
Prioritize strategic enhancements to platform roadmap, including researching, recommending and overseeing the purchase, enhancement and/or development of software, hardware, and other equipment required for the platform.
Serve as the platform evangelist, working with the various colleges and units to grow the use of the central marketing platform.
Provide strategic support for CRM usage within the participating colleges, units, and alumni communities.
Conduct regular user group meetings for colleges, units, and alumni communities to cross-train users and expand platform usage.
Keep abreast of latest industry products, services, information, and trends.
Plan, develop and oversee the development, testing, maintenance and integration of the University Advancement CRM platform.
Oversee the training program for platform users.
Serve as a resource person for systems development, software and user issues.
Serve as a liaison to information systems support personnel and vendors
Manage related budgets associated with the platform.
Assist in unit policy, procedure, and short- and long-term planning activities.
Interview, recommend for hire, and review the performance of related support staff.
Maintain and/or increase competency in information systems and related areas through readings, coursework and attendance at conferences, seminars and workshops.

Qualifications

The job requires: knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a four-year college degree program in Computer Science, Information Systems, Systems Science, or a related field, or a field related to the specific area of employment; five to eight years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in programming, computer systems development, information management, or a related information systems management area, and/or the specific area of employment; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
