JOB DESCRIPTION
Supervise and manage the overall activities of the plant, including all manufacturing operations, customer relationship and related support functions. Main focus is about producing the right volume of product at the right time, at the right level of quality, at the right cost to fully meet customer expectations in a safe working environment. To be successful, the plant manager has to lead employees at the site, particularly the plant management team.

Responsibilities:
Assure attainment of business objectives and productions schedules while insuring product standards that will meet and/or exceed customers expectations.
Drive down costs through efficient site management to achieve a critical competitive edge.
Coordinate with supervisors and management to plan activities for higher productivity on production site.
Ensure that assets are well managed in the best interest of the company.
Plan, organize and direct the manufacturing, maintenance and logistics operations which ensure the most effective return on assets.
Initiate plans and processes which minimize manufacturing costs through effective utilization of manpower, equipment, facilities, materials, and capital.
Guarantee that the desired level of output is achieved with the input added to the process. Achieve daily operational targets and control over allocation of resources.
Manage daily on-site operations such as production, maintenance and supply chain.
Develop, implement and supervise a thorough, effective, and timely continuous improvement plan, which addresses the top business needs at the site
Encourage use of new techniques and focus on fact based problem solving, using state of the art problem solving tools.
monitor and improve performance of product standards, implement and further develop quality-control programs
identify the desired level of technology in production process, employ and manage technology changes in the environment to be updated with latest trends.
Lead kaizen events, Six Sigma projects and other activities that execute on the site improvement plan
Ensure customer satisfaction by responding to customer enquiries in responsive manner.
Organize business review meetings with clients to improve performance continuously and qualitatively.
Have best practices policy in place and initiate a strategy to exchange best practices with other EF&C sites
Identify resistance and performance gaps, and work to develop and implement corrective actions
Manage change in the fairest way possible but drive results
Get the right people in place with the right emotional commitment and the right mix of skills and levels.
Active and visible coach to their employees and prove herself/himself as a role model for their team and a respected partner for their colleagues. As the way employees are managed are a key resource of EF&C.
All employees must be trained to ensure that they are knowledgeable about their job and that they can do their jobs in the safest and healthiest way. Site leader has to be familiar with Occupational Health and Safety rules and regulations. Conducts regular inspections at the plant to ensure there are no safety concerns. Ensure that all employees are provided with the safety equipment they require to do their jobs safely. Always strive for risk reduction and stay alert to potential hazards.
Responsible for evaluating performance of subordinates and training requirements
Adherence to all company and regional policies and procedures working with the other members of the regional management team to achieve best results, share best practices and to implement actions locally.
Commitment to focus on the success of the region and not only on the operation site.
Responsibility to comply with all legal and Client company business standards.
Carrying out any additional functions assigned to him/her from time to time according to legal and business requirements
Key working relationships with NAFTA management team members
Support the EF&C Americas business strategy.
Communicate the strategy to all employees and act as the leader locally.
Work with the other members of the NAFTA management team to achieve
best results and to implement actions locally.
Act as the leader point for local/country issues, i.e. government or environmental issues.

Qualifications and experience needed:
1) Bachelors in related field a must, a Masters preferred
2) Minimum 10 years recent experience in the Automotive industry in a Supervisory/Management roll
3) Minimum of 10 years experience in one or more major functions such as finance, distribution, manufacturing, engineering, with increasingly responsible assignments
4) Direct experience as a Plant Manager preferred.
5) Must have excellent working knowledge of Accounting and Finance and have participated in long range operation plans on a regular basis
6) Demonstrated ability to train and motivate personnel in order to balance staffing strength with profitability and growth
7) Experience in a matrixed reporting relationship in a global, publicly-traded company
8) Current salary and Salary expectationsEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
