About the position
Do you consume most of your information online? Of course you do--
and so do health care and higher education professionals. We're seeking a web editor with the online and editorial know-how to optimize our users' online experience and ensure consistency across the website. In addition to independently maintaining sections of and producing related e-newsletters, the web editor will also aggregate, develop, write, and edit content.
The ideal candidate will possess strong editorial, communication, organizational, and project management skills, as well as a level of technical proficiency.
Daily
Responsibilities:
Write and edit web-based content
Produce email communications and manage online presence for a number of products
Publish content to website in a timely and thoughtful manner
Track website and email usage data
Create images in Photoshop
Maintain editorial consistency across the website
Ongoing
Responsibilities:
Make strategic decisions based on data analysis
Collaborate with researchers and experts to effectively position research and technologies
Manage consistent content production pipelines for various products
Maintain industry knowledge across a diverse range of topics
Negotiate, prioritize, and manage concurrent projects
Plan and organize web strategy based on big picture firm goals and priorities
Basic
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree
Excellent academic record
Demonstrated writing and editing experience in a professional environment
Ideal
Qualifications:
Degree in journalism, communications, or online media
1-2 years of professional experience, preferably in a web editorial position
Confidence, patience, and flexibility in an evolving environment
Poise and presence in counseling senior management on online strategy
Ardent ability to build positive relationships with a range of internal partners
Proven to be organized, task-oriented, proactive, independent, and deadline-driven
Experience creating, adapting, and unifying content specifically for the web
Online publishing or marketing experience
Basic working knowledge of HTML

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
