IDEXX Laboratories, Inc , - is currently hiring a Sr. Cost Accountant.
Provide product cost accounting and reporting (standards, actual and variances) and related total costs of production to assist a wide range of customers including Operations, LOB's and Corporate Finance. Complete complex financial analyses to support important business decisions to improve efficiency and company profitability.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Develop product standard costs for materials, labor and overhead and provide ongoing cost accounting maintenance as required.
Perform month-end / quarter-end / year-end closing activities including various key account reconciliation and reviews.
Prepare monthly standard cost variance analyses and report out to key internal customers.
Participate in the strategic planning, annual budget, and forecasting cycles and provide critical cost accounting information and support as needed.
Perform ad hoc financial forecasting, analysis and problem solving as required.
Provide cost accounting expertise throughout the organization, and support OUS manufacturing locations with process and system support and knowledge.
Partner in business decisions including analysis for new product development, and supply chain initiatives.
Provide financial support, reporting and measurements for cost improvement initiatives.
Identify, develop and facilitate processes and improvements in financial planning, analysis and reporting. This includes leveraginginformation technology to automate, streamline, and integrate processes.
Work with multiple systems including SAP for use in information retrieval and analyses.
Monitor internal control environment. Identify gap in controls and present approach to mitigate exposure.
Work closely with planning and procurement to help solve problems and to provide financial guidance and assistance as required.
Perform other duties as assigned.
## Qualifications
EDUCATION:
Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or related business concentration
CPA and/or CMA preferred
Experience:
4 - 6 years of finance experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge in management / inventory accounting and financial analysis
Knowledge of internal controls and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements
Ability to present complex business ideas
Solid MS Office skills (i.e. Excel, Word, etc.)
SAP experience preferred
Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a dynamic, fast moving environment
