## Description
Perform small and large-scale bulk processing, manufacturing and filtration for experimental and commercial diagnostic products. Operate laboratory instrumentation. Calculate, weigh, measure and check raw materials to assure batches manufactured contain proper ingredients and are prepared within established tolerances. Maintain hand-written and electronic records in compliance with Quality System and Regulatory requirements, Good Manufacturing Practices and Standard Operating Procedures. May assist with in-process testing to assure batches meet specifications.
## Qualifications
EDUCATION :
High school diploma or equivalent
EXPERIENCE :
Experience in a related production/laboratory environment preferred.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES :
Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions.
Basic to moderate understanding and fluency in the use of computers and software.
Ability to read and interpret Quality System documentation, standard operating procedures, work instructions, material safety data sheets, technical procedures and maintenance instructions.
Ability to multiply, divide, add and subtract in all units of measure using whole numbers and decimals following basic algebraic rules.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, proportions and conversions using the metric system.
Ability to effectively communicate orally and in written form before groups of peers and managers.
Ability to work effectively in a large team environment.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Regularly required to lift, move and carry up to 50 pounds.
Regularly required to push, pull and maneuver liquid filled containers up to 450
pounds on rollers, pallet jacks and carts.
Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus .
WORK ENVIRONMENT :
Exposure to fumes, airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals.
Personal protective equipment and/or clothing required.
Noise level varies from moderate to loud.
