The Legal Analyst will assist and support the Legal Team, who also leads insurance, at the Company's corporate headquarters in Omaha, Nebraska.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Paralegal Duties
Handle entity compliance in various jurisdictions
Perform all aspects of contract administration including contract database maintenance and record retention
Assist in due diligence process
Assist in responses to subpoenas, document production requests and other litigation inquiries
Assist with collection matters
Research and assist with SEC and other regulatory compliance
Maintain knowledge and familiarity with relative industry statutes, regulations, case law and other legal requirements
Coordinate and assist in document production and correspondence
Maintain Excel and Access databases
Manage the legal department's filing system
Assist field personnel with small claims filings
Insurance Duties
Obtain insurance certificates and bonds as requested from various personnel and state regulators
Backup to insurance analyst on claims, workers compensation and related matters
Licensing Duties
Administer grain dealer and warehouse licenses in each state
Assist personnel with specialized county and/or city licenses
Other Duties
Coordinate and assist in document production and correspondence
Maintain Excel databases
Manage the legal department's filing system
Requirements
Education/Background Requirements:
Bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certificate preferred
2
years experience in a corporate legal department or law firm
Strong Excel and Access skills
Detail-oriented; proficiency for accuracy; dependable; self-starter
Ability to multi-task and take ownership of assigned projects
Ability to interact with senior management and handle confidential assignments
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
