Senior Software Engineer - Application Development (API, CMS, Web Personalization).
Responsibilities include: We are looking for a technology lead who can deliver end to end IT solutions for driving Marriott's business. Passion for innovative IT solution and processes backed by proven track record of delivering complex enterprise solutions for Web and Mobile using latest technology is required. Candidate must be creative and driven to explore new technology, solutions and tools to build highly scalable and flexible systems. Must be able to lead a large group of software developers, directly work with various stake holders, including business and other IT groups, brainstorm solutions with Enterprise Architects. You must be a team player and have the energy to mentor others to build high power team.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience
Required:
8
years of experience in software development with a strong command of object oriented principals
Experience in design and development of online Personalization and Targeting systems.
Proficient in working with RESTful API, JSON, XML, SOAP Web Services
Experience building a web or mobile application from start to finish
Experience in DevOps tools like Git, JIRA & working knowledge of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment process
Good knowledge of HTML5
Great problem solving & communication skills
Outstanding engineering talent proven by great work results and experience.
Operates effectively in a fast-paced, deadline driven, collaborative and iterative programming environment
Self-motivated but does well in a team based environment. Strong initiative and enthusiasm.
Experience in Agile Development
A degree in Computer Science or similar preferred
Preferred:
Technology certifications
Experience in waterfall and/or agile software methodologies
Demonstrated ability to anticipate future software engineering opportunities
Technology leadership experience in a sourced environment
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
Technical Leadership
Trains and/or mentors other team members, and peers as appropriate
Provides financial input on department or project budgets, capital expenditures or other cost/resource estimates as requested
Identifies opportunities to enhance the service delivery processes.
Delivering Technology
Performs more complex quantitative and qualitative analyses for service delivery processes and projects.
Facilitates achievement of expected deliverables and obligations of Services Providers
Validates completeness of requirements prior to Service Provider solutioning
