Safety-Kleen is seeking a Laboratory Technician . You will be responsible for a wide range of laboratory testing according to ASTM and EPA methods. Work hours are Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm but may change to Monday through Friday 4:00pm to Midnight as needed.

Responsibilities:
Sample preparation and analysis for used oil. Analytical methods may include ICP, GC/ECD for PCB's, Bomb Calorimetry, flash point, viscosity, density measurement, pH, Karl Fisher water analysis, and VOC and HVOC analysis.
Input of data from analysis into lab information system database. Completion of all logs and records related to analysis for traceability.
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in Chemistry preferred

years experience in the field of chemical analysis required
Wet chemistry, GC or ICP instrument experience preferred

Physical Demands:
Typical 8-9 hour shift to include constant computer usage. To perform the duties of this job employee will be required to sit, walk, stand, bend, climb, crawl, kneel, reach, squat, stoop and twist. Employee will also need the ability to lift, carry, pull and push from between 10-100 lbs. May also be required to drive a vehicle or move equipment.
Employment is contingent upon a successful background check and drug screen. Some positions also require a pre-hire medical exam. Must meet all work eligibility requirements. Environmentally-responsible business.
