CGL Facility Management, LLC is a private firm providing comprehensive contract facility maintenance services to commercial clients. We have an immediate opening in Parchman, MS for a Skilled Plumber to join our facility maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for both preventive and corrective Plumbing maintenance work and minimal installations with our client. This is a full time position, day shift Monday through Friday, but requires on-call availability for certain emergency situations.
Job Description:
The Skilled Plumber will perform daily preventative and corrective maintenance tasks related to plumbing for the court and Jail facility. Will assemble, install, and repair pipes, fittings, and fixtures of heating, water, and drainage systems according to specifications and plumbing codes. Installs and repairs plumbing fixtures such as sinks, showers, commodes, water heaters, hot water tanks, garbage disposals and dishwashers. Assembles and installs valves, pipe fittings, and pipes composed of metals, clay, and plastic using hand and power tools. Daily activities include but are not limited to drain cleaning, soldering, brazing, repair and installation of (DWV) Drain Waste and Vent, installing toilets, water lines, P-Traps, repair of water leaks, repair/replacement of valves, faucets, sinks. Ability to work in confined spaces, be able to work night shifts and be on call when needed. Ability to replace Automatic Sprinkler heads for sprinkler system. Candidate will be in areas where inmates are.
All work performed must conform to standards per the contractual agreements with the client, as well as CGL standards for quality and accuracy and all OSHA codes and regulations.
Must be able to work general trade problems also.
Must be a self starter and motivated.
o Must become familiar with the design and layout of the facility.
o Complete all documentation required in compliance with CGL's computerized maintenance management system.
Job Duties
o Preventive and corrective maintenance responsibilities; minimum6 years maintenance experience in Plumbing for commercial environments.
o Immediate full time opening for an experienced Skilled Plumber to work with private facility maintenance company.
o Responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance work orders.
o M-F day shift with emergency call-backs sometimes required.
o Must be a team player, have strong work ethic, positive attitude, and desire to succeed while representing our firm with the best possible service to our clients.
Requirements
o Must be able to pass pre-employment drug test and extensive criminal background check.
