Job Description:
The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for providing maintenance for machinery and plant equipment. Minimizing machine down time, working cost consciously and effectively. This requires the use of judgment to plan, perform and make decisions as to the sequence of set-ups, operations and processes within the limitations of recognized or standard methods and procedures.

EDUCATION/
Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent. 3 to 5 years experience in manufacturing industrial environment. 1 year electrical experience preferred but not required.
SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
Work in a safe manner. Provide maintenance and repair for machinery and plant equipment minimizing machine down time, working cost consciously and effectively. Perform installations, equipment preventative maintenance; fabricate parts and service mobile equipment. Follow verbal instruction, read blueprints, manuals, layouts and other plans. Use good judgment and prior experience to diagnose and make repair decisions. Contribute to good teamwork in the department and display the ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
JOB INFORMATION:
In degree of strenuousness, this position may be considered as heavy work exerting 50
pounds of forces occasionally, and/or 25-50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10-20 pounds of force constantly. While performing duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, talk and hear. The employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects, tools or controls and reach with hands and arms.
