Leidos has an opening for a Machinist to work in their Albuquerque offices.
Sets up and operates a variety of machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, shapers, planers, and precision grinders to make metal parts, mechanisms, tools, or machines to exact tolerances and dimensions. Interprets blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications; determines sequence of operations, number of cuts required, and method of setup; uses a variety of machinist's hand tools and precision measuring instruments; makes standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work, tooling, feeds, and speeds; measures, marks, and scribes dimensions and reference points to lay out stock for machining; fits and assembles precision parts into mechanical equipment and determines material, parts, and equipment required. Some machines may be computer numerically controlled (CNC.) May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures. Typically requires completion of a formal apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience.
Using a variety of machines, produces replacement parts for use in making regular and emergency repairs of machinery and equipment. Shapes metal parts to precise dimensions, frequently working to close tolerances. May assemble and fit parts into machines. Under limited supervision. Receives some instruction on routine work, general instructions on new assignments. Uses professional concepts to solve a variety of problems. Works on assignments that are semi routine in nature where judgment is resolving problems and making routine recommendations. Follows standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained. . Interacts daily with supervisor, peer groups, and customers. Interaction normally involves exchange or presentation of factual information.

Qualifications:
High school education or equivalent and 5
years of technical training. Must have valid credentials or certificate.
Having some knowledge and experience, able to handle usual occurring job events. Choice of action requires more than common sense in that some training and experience is needed before knowing what to do under special circumstances.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
