Hours: 8-5, Monday - Friday.
Examples of Work:
Under general supervision, processes applications for Medication Aides in accordance with policies and regulations. Reviews applications, and other required documents. Enters licensing data on the Licensing Information System. Updates information system based on change notifications. Assists with development of procedures for processing applications, and issuance, renewal and reinstatement of credentials. Makes changes to database for name changes, deaths and address changes. Interface with licensees, applicants, general public, and others regarding statutory and regulatory Medication Aide Registry requirements. Handles routine phone calls, correspondence; maintains files; operates copiers and fax machines. Prepare subpoena requests. Prepares and sends denial and removal notices for medication aides and nurse aides. Prepares disciplinary action files for informal conferences and formal hearings. Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications / Requirements:
REQUIREMENTS: Experience in secretarial or general office work with responsibility for developing and applying office support methods or procedures OR post high school coursework/training in office management practices or secretarial support functions.
PREFERRED: Personal computer experience and proficient with Microsoft Word.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of both PC functions and Microsoft Office Suite. Skilled in effective communication. Ability to transfer information from an in-depth document to a summary template; interpret and explain state statutes and regulations; and read and understand legal documents.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
