Georgia Pacific at our Gurdon Plywood/Lumber facility is seeking applicant for a boiler operator with experience in both wood fired boiler and natural gas package boilers. Open position is currently for second shift position. The boilers are manned with two 12 hours shifts that work, two on two off, with every other weekend off. Candidate required to have a current Arkansas Boiler Operator Licensed or can provide boiler operating experience that can be used to qualify to take Arkansas Boiler License Exam within 6 month of hire date.
_ Responsibilities_
Assist with maintain boiler operation to support facility needs with steam pressure and reliability.
Assist with maintain Plant Air Compressor and Dryers.
Assist with maintaining plant fire protection systems
Able to operator boiler within required safety and environmental compliance with our local, state and federal regulations to be 100% compliance.
Comply with all facility safety rules and policy.
Maintain boiler/steam system water treatment and testing for proper adjustment.
Operate heavy equipment to maintain boiler fuel.
Daily required housekeeping
Perform fix it myself maintenance task to ensure reliability and uptime on boiler and supporting equipment.
Maintain facility steam system condensate tanks, steam traps, and steam control equipment.
Perform annual boiler outage maintenance inspection and repairs on the boilers and feed water system.
Able to work unsupervised with a small operating crew.
Good communication Skills
Maintain daily log sheets and inspection.
Safely startup and shut down boiler equipment.
Basic Computer skills, Excel, Word, MP2, MOE,
