DRIVER / COURIER
JOB TITLE: Driver/ Courier

REPORTS TO: Transit Manager
FACILITY: CITY: Lakeland
JOB STATUS: PRN FLSA: Non Exempt
Job
Summary:
To Transport consumers to appointments in a safe and timely manner, deliver internal mail to facilities, post office and charts.
General Expectations:
In the performance of their respective task and duties, all employees are expected to conform to the following:
a. Adhere to all PRC policies and Code of Conduct standards and at all times exhibit all
PRCs Core Values.
b. Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision.
c. Interact professionally with other employees, customers and vendors.
d. Work independently, while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and organizations, as required.
Essential Duties/Requirements/Activities:
Ability to arrive/report to work on time and ready to work.
Ability to abide by principles of EEO compliance and a workplace of dignity and respect.
Ability to work cooperatively in a group/team setting.
Ability to show respect to others.
Ability to take guidance and direction from supervisors.
Ability to report to work with clean hygiene.
Ability to adhere to company /program dress code standards.
Ability to professionally communicate with others.
Ability to drive app 7 hrs. a day, pre-trip vehicle daily, daily paper work correctly
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds if needed when filling in for Courier
Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma, GED
Experience:
Experience of transporting people, knowledge of Lakeland, Bartow and Winter Haven area
Certifications:
None
Training:
Will be required to work three weeks straight for training purposes, must take CPR and First Aid classes for PRC on computer, learn how to properly complete all paper work and time on computer
Knowledge and Skills:
Good customer service, must be understanding of our consumers needs, Treat all staff with respect, be able to work independently while transporting consumers or doing the courier route

Comply with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules and regulations
Life Safety Equipment (fire extinguisher)
Transportation:
Must have reliable transportation
Must maintain CDL License along with Dot physical
Must be 25 years of age to qualify by our DOT and drive PRC vehicle
Machines, Tool and Equipment Used:
Computer for PRC training, time cards, telephone, fax, copier, tire gage.
