Overview of Job Function:
Works with members of the development organization and is a contributor to the design, development, and the implementation of software applications for the Verint Systems software suite. Possesses some experience with commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a software development environment. Relies on pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job under general supervision. Utilizes current experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Typically reports to a lead or manager.
Principal Duties and Essential
Responsibilities:
Designs and develops visually appealing and highly scalable browser and mobile based applications
Works on both frontend and backend portions of an application with extremely large data sets
Assists with the design, modification, development, writing and implementation of software programming applications with a focus on quality
Evaluates product issues at both functional and technical levels with an emphasis on root cause analysis.
Fixes issues and provides solutions to technical support engineers
Maintains relationships and open dialog with product development team to understand product evolution and enhance knowledge areas
Provide estimates for tasks and works with Agile development methodology
Minimum Requirements:
BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering or other related degree.
5 years of software development experience.
5 years of experience in any of two skills from the following CSS, HTML. ExtJS, JavaScript, HTML5, AJAX, JQuery
3 years of experience with Java/J2EE, JSP, Java Servlets, Spring, EJB, Tomcat, Hibernate
Experience in working with large databases using MS SQL or any RDBMS
Proven experience with test driven development such as JUnit and programmatic integration testing
Troubleshooting, reasoning, design, and risk assessment skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential
Must possess exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong focus on quality
Must be a team player, motivated, self-starter, able to work in a fast-paced environment and a quick learner
A strong desire to learn new things and innovate in a fast paced environment
Preferred Requirements:
Experience with WebLogic application server is a plus.
Working knowledge of Git, Clear case/VSS, Ant and JUnit is desirable.
Experience with installing products on Windows
Experience with Agile methodology a plus
