Program lead with demonstrated skills and engineering experience leading a DoD project by guiding the program, oversight of R&D; efforts, budget, expenditures, and technical support. Candidate will be responsible for the delivery of technical and business solutions of enterprise level applications and working independently to on projects of medium to high complexity. The PM will need 10 to 20 years of experience in project management and support with demonstrated knowledge and experience working with the policy, procedures and guidelines found in the DoD 5000 series and/or the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement (DFARS) relative to DoD technology and development programs (R&D;). The Project Manager will be responsible for all aspects of the project, including planning, tracking, engineering, and execution of scope against requirements, delivery and system documentation as well as coordination/leading of the technical teams.
The Program Manager will work with the Government Contracting Officer (KO), Government management personnel, customer agency representatives and lead technical teams. This person is responsible for the overall management of the specific task order(s) and insuring that the technical solutions and schedules in the task order are implemented in a timely manner. Performs enterprise wide horizontal integration planning and interfaces to other functional systems. This position requires a responsible team player who will ensure alignment of project team activities with client mission and task order objectives. The PM coordinates the management of work performed on the task; Coordinates the efforts of subcontractors, team members, vendors, Contracting Officer''s Technical Representative, and other client officials; and provides technical leadership and support.
Works independently, or under the general direction of senior level company management, on all phases of performance including project/task order management, coordination of resource needs, coordination with corporate resources and management. Reports to senior company management on task order performance and issues. Has direct accountability for the technical correctness, timeliness and quality of deliverables, and ensures that client processes and procedures are followed to include Governance, Certification and Accreditation, and Lifecycle Management. Has in-depth knowledge of the IT industry and IT engineering. Performs project planning and ensures that the project team members are fully utilized and applies proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to effectively and efficiently deliver the products and services in accordance with customer specifications.
Demonstrated ability to lead a network engineering project team.
College diploma or university degree in the information technology arena.
