Responsibilities:
To provide comprehensive pre-enrollment advising to ensure that Minneapolis Community and Technical College students are well prepared to be successful during their first term of enrollment.
Minimum
Qualifications:
Associates Degree.
1
year experience serving students across the functions of Admissions, Financial Aid, Records and Registration
Experience assisting students with the FAFSA online application process
Knowledge/experience with MS office, e-mail, internet.
Experience with diverse populations.
Demonstrates intercultural competency by recognizing the value of individual and cultural difference.
Knowledge of resources available to address student needs.
Preferred
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree.
Experience in a customer service position.
Experience making speeches and presentations.
Knowledge of MCTC policy, procedures, programs, curriculum, services and resources.
Training and/or experience in providing support services to individuals from traditionally underserved groups.
Proficiency with ISRS database functions.
Proficiency with FAFSA processing and financial aid awards.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
