Responsibilities:
The Auditor position is responsible for efficient and effective execution of audit engagements and projects. The auditor works with 2-8 person audit teams on domestic and global audits designed to test compliance with good internal control practices and corporate policies and procedures. Responsibilities include: identifying and assessing risks, measuring policy compliance, influencing action plans, partnering with affiliate management and process owners to complete and improve audit processes, sharing of best practices and key learning across the organization.
While audits may include Financial, Information Technology, Privacy, Anti-Corruption Due Diligence, and Governance, the emphasis of this position is on Ethical Interactions (e.g. marketing and sales, medical) compliance. The auditor may assist legal in conducting investigations and assessments related to compliance.
Key Objectives/Deliverables:
Audit Execution: Effectively partner with Lilly personnel for the purpose of identifying control risks relative to current regulations, policies and procedures.
Process Ownership: Identify process improvements and work with key stakeholders and team members to ensure that appropriate risks are addressed and that process changes are made in accordance with external guidelines and internal policies and procedures.
Communication: Understand critical and/or unmet needs by actively engaging in ongoing dialogue with audited, affiliate management, business partners, etc.
Maximize People: Provide continuous learning and contribute to an atmosphere of teamwork.
Basic
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree
3-5 years of experience in public accounting or equivalent experience in Internal Audit department
Qualified candidate must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Lilly does not anticipate providing sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B or TN status) for this position.
Additional Skills/Preferences:
Experience with marketing brand teams, field sales, or compliance/monitoring functions
Sound knowledge of IT and Financial Processes
Professional certifications: Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)
Previous experience and interaction with affiliates or business units
Previous experience in the areas of Compliance, Legal or financial controls
Strong learning agility
Excellent communication (verbal & written), interpersonal, and influencing skills
Demonstrated critical thinking skills
Ability and willingness to work both independently and within a team environment
Ability to interact with all levels of management
Additional Information:
This position is located at Lilly Corporate Center, Indianapolis
Potential for 25-35% travel, most trips involving international travel of 2 weeks in duration

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
