RESPONSIBILITY LEVEL:
Under general supervision, conducts preventive maintenance, repair, installation, andcommissioning and general servicing of systems (including detailed troubleshooting ofsystems). Responsible for high levels of customer satisfaction through direct, on site, customerinterface. Mentors mechanical technicians on building automation activities. Properlycompletes required project and service documentation.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES:
1. Diagnoses and repairs complex electronic control system malfunction's requiring extensiveknowledge of a variety of electronic or digital controls systems and ability to test and writemodifications in multiple languages of systems software.
2. Provides sketches of field changes and discrepancies for engineering corrections and drawings.
3. Communicates with customer upon arrival and before leaving the work site. Ensures highlevels of customer satisfaction. Meets regularly with customer to become familiar withoperating problems. Keeps customer informed on the nature of service provided outstandingissues and recommends system enhancements, upgrades, and or repairs. Promotes the sale ofadd-on work.
4. Manages assigned work to meet professional execution, of time and customer satisfaction.Reports problems or changes to management immediately. Interfaces with branch manager,service manager, service project manager or subcontractors on projects to coordinate activitiesas required in an ethical and professional manner.
5. Adheres to all Johnson Controls and customer safety standards. Provides safety awarenesson work sites.
6. May provide training to customers on electronic control systems operations. Delivers manualsand documentation to the customer for training needs as required.
7. Mentors and trains mechanical workforce on building automation systems. Provides support to the mechanical staff on non-complex, non-critical equipment.
8. Compiles job documentation, such as certificate of completion, customer training forms,training certificates and punch lists.
9. Conducts extensive self study (reading, research and practice) to improve and maintaintechnical proficiency in company''s product lines. Completes certifications as required by thecompany.
REQUIREMENTS:
A minimum of Vocational School four year program or an Associate degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, air conditioning or similar field plus three (3) years of industry experience or five (5) years experience in servicing electronic and/or mechanical systems in the HVAC industry.
Generally required knowledge includes HVAC controls systems, facilities management systems, site preparation, peripheral equipment installation and servicing techniques.
Effective interpersonal skills to properly represent Johnson Controls to customers and other outside contacts in an ethical and professional manner.
The ability to explain technical information to technical and non-technical people. Leadership skills to support the activities of Mechanics working on non-complex, noncritical Building Automation equipment on a job site.
PC experience required and the ability to program HVAC related software.
The ability to obtain and maintain a Site Badges and Clearances. (This involves a background/character, criminal history, employment and credit check).
U.S. Citizenship is required.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
