Randstad is seeking securities and employment paralegals for a client in the Birmingham area.
Paralegals will support attorneys in securities-related arbitration, mediation, and court cases or in a different practice group, employment law matters. Primary tasks include:
- Gathering and analyzing of documents
- Interacting with firm personnel, outside counsel and external vendors;
- Performing legal research;
- Organizing documents and case files;
- Filing pleadings;
- Preparing standard form responses;
- Assisting with trial scheduling and preparation;
- Creating and maintaining spreadsheets and databases;
- Supporting other projects as needed.
Working hours: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Education:
- A minimum of 1 - 3 years' paralegal current experience in a law firm;
- Experience with Securities and/or Employment Law
- Excellent written and oral communication skills;
- Strong analytical skills;
- Ability to perform Internet & Lexis research;
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook;
- A minimum of a 4-year college degree or relevant work equivalent;experience;
- High degree of Professionalism

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
