Job Duties: Responsible for the design, development, and unit testing of software components that run customer service applications, specifically for those components related to the Self Service, Knowledge Base and customer self-service application systems. Provide technical support and incident trouble shooting and fulfill production data processing requests. Run and monitor production Self Service/Knowledge Base file update processes and ensure the quality and integrity of the Self Service/Knowledge Base application systems data and content. Assimilate business requirements quickly and design and develop robust, high quality applications on top of the Knowledge Base and Self Service platforms. Produce clear, well-communicated, complete designs for product features or sub-systems and lead product design and code reviews. Drive architecture discussions, propose solutions to system and product changes, and act as go-to engineer for a product or peers. Develop SQL, scripts and programs to update Help Center and Knowledge Base content.
Minimum Requirements: Masters degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering or closely related quantitative discipline and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of experience as a programmer analyst or software engineer or Bachelors degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering or closely related quantitative discipline and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or five (5) years of progressively responsible experience as a programmer analyst or software engineer.
Special Skill Requirements: Experience must include the following: Utilize knowledge and experience with presentation layer with various languages and frameworks; Java/J2EE, XML 3 years ; AJAX, Spring, and SOA 3 years ; architecting, designing, developing and unit testing enterprise grade, mission-critical, web-based applications 3 years ; commercial enterprise software packages and/or platforms such as knowledge base, contact center, business process workflow; software engineering methodologies such as Agile; SQL; GIT version control 2 years ; Linux 3 years ; Maven and Jenkins 3 years ; Cucumber 2 years ; experience with Continuous Integration model; Rest based web services and experience with Hibernate and JMS and experience with Application servers such as weblogic, Jboss, tomcat etc. 3 years . Any suitable combination of education, training and experience is acceptable.
