JOB SUMMARY
The Upgrade Team is seeking a highly motivated, self-starter to perform client upgrades, as well as identify, prioritize and find resolutions to reported problems. This individual will ensure that all phases of the client upgrades from a technical standpoint are monitored, logged, tracked and completed appropriately. The qualified candidate will upgrade the client test and production environments and assist Development in troubleshooting TouchWorks EHR issues by providing accurate and detailed information about client issues. The candidate must be a people person with excellent and professional communication skills both in email and by phone and enjoy working in a team environment. JOB DESCRIPTION
Upgrade client test and production servers
Copy databases for testing and training
Provide technical support and troubleshoot client performance issues
Work with Project Managers to identify and to resolve problems reported client issues in a timely manner to achieve a successful upgrade experience
Log detail and accurate activities for all work performed on client issues
Communicate daily with clients for status and/or updates of issues according to guidelines
Work closely with members of the upgrade team, development and other teams across the enterprise to upgrade our clients to the latest version of software across a diverse Healthcare client base
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge of HL7 specifications
Working knowledge of the following applications and languages: SQL 2005/2008, Windows Server 2003/2008, IIS, Citrix, VMware, MS Project
Excellent communication and organization skills, including the ability to communicate with customer personnel at all levels (IT, Clinician, Management).
Excellent troubleshooting skills
Ability to manage multiple, simultaneous projects while being available for emergency support
Ability to travel 25% of the time.
Ability to participate in on-call rotation for 24X7 support
Demonstrate high-level proficiency in the delivery of hardware and system software technology to customers using standard procedures.
High-level knowledge of enterprise level hardware offerings such as clustering, SAN technology, and complex networking delivery.
Provide technical support during the implementation delivery process including triaging and troubleshooting reported by customer and implementation team.
Install all software required for the Allscripts solutions
Developing technical documentation to facilitate efficiency, document customer implementations, and support department education objectives.
Training customers and Allscripts staff on your areas of expertise.
Degree in a computer (MIS) related course of study or appropriate related work experience

Strong technical background including SQL, network, Windows admin, IIS skills, strong communication and troubleshooting skills required.
