The global Finance Function acts as a proactive business partner, advising and making recommendations based upon financial projections and historical performance. Finance also provides financial expertise companywide and ensures accurate and efficient transaction processing.
Scope of the Position:
Closing Process and all associated analysis and reporting.
Ad-hoc financial analysis for business management.
Forecasts.
Annual Budget (Black Book).
Year planning process (Green Book).
Day to Day
Responsibilities:
Ensures entity compliance with local regulations, GAAP accounting principles and Corning policies and procedures.
Responsible for managing the period closing process preparation including posting of vouchers and accuracy of the general ledger.
Ensures that required reporting is completed accurately and on a timely basis.
Preparation of monthly account reconciliations on a timely basis.
Provides ad-hoc financial analysis for division management.
Responsible for the consolidation of the financial portion of the budget, forecasts and five year planning process for the Division.
Position will also assist and provide back-up to Business as needed
Hours of work/work schedule/flex-time: 40+
Education &
Experience:
Required Education:
Bachelor's with a major in Accounting or Finance
Required Years and Area of Experience(minimum required for consideration) :
3-7 years of relevant experience
experience in working on cross functional teams a plus
Public accounting experience or corporate analytical service
