Our Child Development Center, located at the company's corporate headquarters in Wilsonville, OR has a full and part time Early Childhood Teacher positions open for our new school year. Positions will begin in August. Mentor Graphics CDC provides a year-round/full day program for children, Birth through Preschool. The Center has a strong foundation in RIE and has been actively engaged in exploring inspiration from the schools in Reggio Emilia, Italy. We offer a professional and supportive work place and a dynamic indoor/outdoor environment for children.
Job Description:
Develop and maintain a classroom environment that supports social and cognitive learning and reflects an understanding of the developmental needs and competency of the age group.
Plan, implement, and assess a developmentally appropriate, child centered and culturally relevant curriculum for children enrolled in a full day program
Observe, record, assess to plan for both individual and groups of children
Use portfolios to document the learning and development of children
Partner with parents to develop goals for children; respect and support parents and families at their varying developmental levels; act as a resource for parents around parenting and family issues
Clearly articulate the Center's philosophy and curriculum goals
Able to write clearly and effectively present ideas and to document activities; to read and interpret written information
Maintain professional integrity and commitment to teaching and working with children
Work effectively with others; participate as a member of a team
Ongoing participation in professional associations and development training opportunities

Qualifications:
Degree- two year community college degree (AA) in Early Childhood Education or BA/BS degree in ECE, Child Development, Child and Family Studies or a closely related field
Experience working with young children and families in a Center based setting
Enrollment in Oregon State Criminal History Registry
Current First Aid and CPR Training
Commitment and expertise to provide very high quality education and care to very young children; experience with NAEYC accreditation standards
