Summary: Under the supervision of the Team leader and/or Qualified Supervising Provider, provides behavioral
services
to patients in the autism program. Participates on the treatment team and carries out services as described on the treatment plan. This role includes the following duties and actively supports the mission statement of Mercy Options. May include weekends, holidays, day, evening, night, and/or on-call hours.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Provides in-home and
community
behavioral services to patients with autism as directed in the treatment plan. Participates as a treatment team member by attending meetings, providing feedback about patient progress, and sharing impressions of patient status. Reviews physician's orders, lab requests, or follow-up needs with patient. Documents observations and care provided in the medical record. Observes patients and reports adverse reactions to medication or treatment to the Team Leader and/or Qualified Supervising Provider. Participates in department and unit performance improvement activities.

EDUCATION, TRAINING, & EXPERIENCEHigh School Diploma. Basic
computer
skills required.
An applicant for employment shall provide character references from at least 2 people and references from all previous employers within the last 5 years and verification from educational institutions of degrees obtained. This position is contingent on passing a background check before the offer is official and prior to the employee starting work with the program/children.
CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE Must complete 30 hours of specified orientation on autism and application of techniques. TACT Certified within 30 days after hire. Maintain a valid driver license and reliable transportation - required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT The noise level in the work environment varies considerably. Work will occur at patients' homes, in the community, and in an office setting. Must be able to work effectively in patient's homes given variable levels of environmental factors (distractions, cleanliness, smoke, pets, etc.)
Occupational exposure is a Category A, which states that all employees in this specified job classification may have occupational exposure.
INFORMATION ACCESS Partner may access patient care information needed to perform job duties.

SPECIAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee is occasionally required to sit; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and smell. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and depth perception. The employee will need to maintain current TACT certification and utilize TACT control techniques on a daily basis.
LEVEL OF SUPV/SUPERVISES This job may have limited supervisory responsibilities if designated Shift Leader.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
