The Position:
Under the direction of the Auditor-Controller, to perform professional accounting work in the establishment and maintenance of accounts, records and budgets for the County; to report financial and statistical information timely and accurately; to maintain complex accounting records and reports; and to perform related duties as assigned.
Minimum
Qualifications:
Only candidates who demonstrate that they meet the following education and/or experience requirements will be considered for the testing and/or interview process.
Education:
A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in accounting or closely related field.
Experience:
Three years of experience in governmental accounting at a level equivalent to the classification of Accountant I in Tuolumne County.
Substitution
: Applicable professional experience equivalent to the County's Accountant I may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required education.
Other Requirements:
Must possess aCaliforniadriver's license and have a satisfactory driving record.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
