Responsibilities:
Provides strategic direction on all procurement activities and relating to MRO /Indirect purchases, including analyzing market trends, identifying, qualifying, and recommending sources of supply that insure lowest total cost, best service and best quality.
Drives the strategic cost reduction effort, which requires cross-functional interface within the business and management of value analysis/value engineering with suppliers.
Furnishes procurement analyses and cost data for planning, budgeting, and other functional duties.
Serves as key company contact for conflict resolution with supply base and for clarification of pricing, quality, delivery and specifications.
Works injury free, achieves an injury-free working environment, and maintains the highest Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) standards in our industry.
Strives for continuous improvement in worker safety and is dedicated to ensuring that each employee understands, and acts in accordance with, the company's HSE policies.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree (B. A. or B.S.) from four-year college or university with an emphasis on Supply Chain Management, Engineering or Business.
Engineering background is strongly preferred
Minimum of 5 years' experience in a strategic purchasing role in the area of raw materials
Heavy manufacturing/heavy industrial background is required
Proven track record of successfully sourcing and developing supply base is required
International sourcing experience is preferred
