Licensed Psychologists, under general direction of a higher level clinicians or administrators, supervise and/or provide psychological services in various settings. In addition to assessment and treatment, they provide clinical leadership; program management; forensic or court-ordered assessments, treatment and expert testimony; disability, neuropsychological or education evaluation and interpretations; specialized assessment (functional, personality, risk, competency, vocational, educational); design and application of behavioral technology and other appropriate specialized psychological interventions; consultation to other agencies; peer review and other psychological services. Incumbents may provide services requiring expertise in behavioral technology, neuropsychology, child and adolescent psychology, geropsychology, sexual offense treatment, cognitive rehabilitation, trauma, or substance and/or chemical abuse programs. NOTE:
In order to be eligible for appointment and to maintain employment, you cannot be listed as an excluded individual or entity on any of the Federal and/or State Medicaid and Medicare exclusion lists (or excluded from any other Federal or federally assisted program). If you are appointed and subsequently listed as an excluded individual or entity on any of these lists (or excluded from any other Federal or federally assisted program), you may be terminated from your employment. If appointed, you may be required to become an enrolled Medicare provider; obtain and provide to your employer a National Provider Identifier (NPI) number issued by the National Plan and Provider Enumeration System (NPPES); and otherwise actively participate to the degree necessary to allow for your services to be billed through Medicare and Medicaid. If you are appointed and lose the ability to bill through Medicare and Medicaid, you may be terminated from your employment. Continued employment as a Licensed Psychologist is dependent upon current licensure and registration by New York State as a Licensed Psychologist. Loss of licensure and registration may result in removal from employment.

Salary Range:
From $91794 to $102661 Annually
Minimum Qualification
Candidates must be reachable for appointment on the current Civil Service eligible list for this title; OR Transfer Opportunity:
Candidates must have one-year permanent service as a Licensed Psychologist and be eligible for lateral transfer; OR be eligible for transfer via Section 70.1 of Civil Service Law. In order to be eligible for 70.1 transfer, candidates must have one year of permanent service in a title approved for transfer by the Department of Civil Service that is within two salary grades or one M grade of the grade 25 level. In addition, candidates must be licensed and currently registered to practice psychology in New York State; OR Temporary Appointment:

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
