Registered Nurse (Nurse Manager)

Ensures compliance with professional practice standards in designated clinical area in order to improve delivery of care, promote patient safety monitoring, and unit level nursing performance. Evaluates unit's nursing productivity, staffing methodology, improving systems/work flow. Develops staffing plans, time schedules, and monitors leave to ensure adequate staffing for patient care. Selects, hires, supervises, evaluates, and schedules staff. Assures that staff provide safe and effective patient care and work as a team. Sets expectations for staff performance and outcomes; provides staff feedback. Assures a safe environment for staff and patients; educates and monitors infection control, safe patient handling, and emergency management. Ensures staff adheres to policies, procedures, and nursing standards of practice. Develops, maintains, and improves as needed; the system for daily staffing huddles with the nursing supervisors and the nurse managers/designee to ensure appropriate distribution of nursing personnel. Graduate of a school of professional nursing approved by the appropriate State-accrediting agency and accredited by one of the following accrediting bodies at the time the program was completed by the applicant:
The Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). In cases of graduates of foreign schools of professional nursing, possession of current, full, active and unrestricted registration will meet the requirement of graduation from an approved school of professional nursing. OR The completion of coursework equivalent to a nursing degree in a MSN Bridge Program that qualifies for professional nursing registration constitutes the completion of an approved course of study of professional nursing. Students should submit the certificate of professional nursing to sit for the NCLEX to the VA along with a copy of the MSN transcript. (Reference VA Handbook 5005, Appendix G6) OR In cases of graduates of foreign schools of professional nursing, possession of a current, full, active and unrestricted registration will meet the requirement for graduation from an approved school of professional nursing. years specialty ambulatory RN experience Certification in Ambulatory Care Nursing MSN Experience in Nursing Education Grade Determinations:
The following criteria must be met in determining the grade assignment of candidates, and if appropriate, the level within a grade:
Nurse II - Master's degree in nursing or related field with a BSN and approximately 1-2 year's of nursing practice/experience; OR a Doctoral degree in nursing or meets basic requirements for appointment and has doctoral degree in a related field with no additional nursing practice/experience required. Nurse III - Master's degree in nursing or related field with BSN and approximately 2-3 year's of nursing practice/experience; OR a Doctoral degree and approximately 2-3 year's of nursing practice/experience. Applicant must possess the ability to do the following:
heavy lifting and carrying, 45 pounds and over; pulling, pushing and reaching above the shoulder; potentially long periods of walking, standing, kneeling and repeated bending. Transferring patients and objects may be required.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
