Duties include, but are not limited to the following:
Screening calls and visitors; Schedules appointments and makes commitments for the COM and the Administrative Officer to attend conferences, etc.; Assembling background material and sees that the COM and/or Administrative Officer is fully briefed on matters to be considered before a scheduled meeting; Makes arrangements for conferences to take notes or is briefed on meetings immediately after they take place in order to know what commitments have been made and what developments have occurred in matters of concern to supervisor or subordinates; Responsible for duplication and distribution of handout material; Reads all incoming correspondence, determining proper action; Reviews outgoing correspondence for procedural and grammatical accuracy; conformance with general policy and factual correctness; Maintains control records of incoming correspondence, action documents and recurring reports, following up on work to ensure timely reply of any action correspondence; Examines, verifies and maintains financial accounts and accounting data, including the verification of the accuracy and completeness of the accounting data; Serves as the Record Liaison for the Service. Responsible for creating, recording, and maintaining a wide variety of administrative files and records for the service; Manages all personnel records, personnel changes, and personnel actions; Responsible for tracking suspenses, making all travel arrangements and acts as the service's back up ADPAC. Performs other duties as assigned. Work Schedule:

Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-06 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-05. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade. Note:

Experience:
You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-05 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to:
Composing and editing incoming and outgoing correspondence, reports, memos and other forms of written communication; assist in coordinating the work of an office; maintaining appointment calendars; scheduling appointments; serving as timekeeper; making travel arrangements; compiling data for reports; scheduling conferences and meetings; taking meeting minutes; operating a personal computer; advising management and staff on established policies; receiving and referring customers, employees, vendors, contractors, clients, patients, etc. . You will be rated on the following Competencies for this position:

The work of this position is sedentary. Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to do work. However, there may be some walking, standing, bending, and carrying of light items like paper or books. Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
