Customer Packaging Lab Business Analyst
Amazon's Customer Packaging Experience (CPEX) Laboratory is looking for a Business Analyst with experience in a laboratory environment.
This hybrid role combines laboratory Quality Assurance skills with an ability to develop, enhance, automate, and manage data in a laboratory setting.
The CPEX Lab team is responsible for testing packages in accordance with documented laboratory processes that simulate the Amazon fulfillment network.
The team is also responsible for supporting the Frustration Free Packaging Program, and help Amazon validate when a product can be safely shipped without the need for additional packaging.
This involves engagement with Vendors to support their prototype needs as well as exploring additional materials that can be used to improve the sustainability footprint of e-commerce packaging.
This position is within the Amazon Robotics organization and supports global packaging automation and reduction goals, in direct support of Amazon's Climate Pledge.
CPEX Lab Technicians also support additional packaging and sustainability requests, including limited travel to fulfillment centers and corporate offices.

This role will be responsible for developing, enhancing, automating and managing business models using strong quantitative skills.
They will build tools and support structures needed to analyze data, dive deep root causes of operational issues or challenges, drive process improvements, build KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and metrics, and document systems and processes for internal publication The ideal candidate will have a scientific background and experience working in a testing laboratory environment, and possesses strong analytical data skills.
They will also maintain internal documentation for CPEX products and programs, including quality control across the CPEX lab.
Additional responsibilities include:
Collect, identify, and prioritize analytical problem statements to ensure the CPEX team works on the highest impact projects and earn stakeholder trust.
Own the design, development, maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, analysis, dashboards, etc.
to drive key business decisions.
Propose, define and align leaders on the right metrics to track business performance and own end-to-end production of these metrics.
Formulate analytical business problem statements, executing the analysis and presenting insights in crisp business language.
Own and maintain quality of laboratory testingMonday - Friday 8:
30am-5pm.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
