You may qualify at the GS-13 level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirements:
Specialized
Experience:
You must have at least 52 weeks of specialized experience at the GS-12 level in the federal service or at an equivalent level. Specialized experience is defined as:
experience providing expert technical advice, guidance, and recommendations to senior agents, agency management, and other agencies on criminal investigations; preparation of graphical charts and timelines to support prosecutions in U.S. Federal District Courts,; provide precedent-setting solutions to complex investigative cases; formulating information source search strategies and reviewing data to identify patterns and relationships across financial, criminal, public record, and other information; knowledge of federal government policies and procedures; producing strategic investigative reports on matters critical to agency and its investigations; assisting in the collection of evidence during law enforcement operations. You must meet the minimum qualification requirements as stated in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Operating Manual, Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions:

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
