Component Engineer

This position is responsible for carrying out Component Engineering and Electronics Sustaining Engineering tasks under general technical and administrative supervision following the ISO 9001 quality management system.
The work scope and output may be specified and checked by Sustaining Engineering Supervisor or Cognizant Engineers.
This position requires the ability to prepare written technical test reports showing calculations, test data, and analysis supporting component selection and design change decisions.

Responsibilities:
Components Engineering:
Specify and select electronic and electromechanical components based on requirements submitted by Cognizant Engineers Work with purchasing and manufacturing engineering to specify component manufacturing and procurement sources Investigate potential component cost reductions, second sources, and substitute components Update component databases Create and maintain component specifications and data sheets Manage the components library Estimate time required for activities related to component engineering activities Electronics Sustaining Engineering:
Evaluate design change requests on electronic subsystems Propose solutions to production and product performance problems Redline and update documentation to effect changes Discuss changes with the Cognizant Engineers Assist in the preparation of EO release packages Work with Nationally Recognized Testing Labs and other entities to compliance test products under CE, UL/CSA and CCC authority Specify, conduct, and direct others to conduct and document tests on electronic items ranging from individual components to moderately complex subsystems, given detailed performance criteria and general supervision from a Cognizant Engineer Communicate well orally and in writing with others with whom he/she works with within the Engineering and Operations departments
Qualifications:
Must have a 2 or 4 year technical degree, preferably BSEE or BSET.
A candidate with four or more years of experience in this industry is a plus.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
