Analyst, IT (project Coordinator - Duke Web services)

Duke Web Services (DWS) is seeking a Project Coordinator to join the Office of Information Technology (OIT) Web Services team. We deliver highly customized web-based solutions that support the mission of the university by specifying, planning, designing, developing, implementing and supporting the web technology infrastructure of the institution. DWS has produced award-winning sites, applications, and print materials for many areas of the Duke community.
The Project Coordinator position is responsible for coordinating day-to-day tasks and project work in Duke Web Services. It involves timely client and team communication, careful coordination of tasks, resources, and schedules, and primary responsibility for handling incoming requests and tickets. Additionally, this position will serve as the service coordinator for the Sites@Duke team, which oversees and governs the enterprise WordPress network at Duke.
This position reports to the Sr. Manager of Duke Web Services in OIT.
Work Performed
Use group resources to maintain an overall project calendar of events, resources and timelines for assigned projects.
Serve as the primary responder for incoming requests, inquiries, and tickets, and schedule any resulting work accordingly in coordination with the Project and Client Relations Manager.
Plan and run regular meetings of the Sites@Duke service team, comprised of members from both OIT and the Center for Instructional Technology. Work with the developers and the Senior Manager to assign and confirm implementation of any tasks required for the successful continued operation of this service.
Create estimate documents, proposals, and service level agreements.
Prepare monthly invoices and status reports, and send to customers.
Prepare biweekly budget reports for the Project and Client Relations Manager and the Sr. Manager.
Provide input and possible solutions to priority/resource conflicts.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required:
Ability to build, maintain, and develop effective relationships with clients and colleagues from different backgrounds and levels of technical ability
Ability to translate user/client input into project goals, deliverables, and project plans
Experience documenting and acting upon customer and user feedback, for improvement of project outcomes and business services
Strategic and analytical thinking skills with an ability to solve problems and make decisions
Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow-through on tasks in a timely manner
Excellent verbal/written communication and presentation skills
Excellent time-management and organizational skills
Preferred:
Experience working in higher education
Personal expertise in one or more aspects of the web project cycle.
Education/Training
BS or BA degree or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience in technical or management field related to web technologies or management and oversight of projects is preferred.

Environment
The Office of Information Technology (OIT) is responsible for managing Duke campus' IT infrastructure, service and support including academic research and enterprise applications. OIT provides leadership and expertise in many areas of Information Technology to Duke entities, including faculty, staff, and students. Specific services delivered include voice, data & video communications, institutional email and administrative applications (payroll, financial ledger, student systems etc.), database, web infrastructure, desktop & helpdesk support, student computing, data center services, and high-performance computing & academic software systems. OIT is also responsible for developing/upgrading the physical IT infrastructure around campus and maintaining student computer labs.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
