Teacher
To provide quality education for the students in accordance with the New Jersey Core Curriculum Standards in conjunction with internal Youth Consultation Service guideline manuals and policies while utilizing any other supplemental/assistive, technological and/or materials/equipment.
Demonstrates empathy and compassion in conduct towards students, staff and families.
Attends and participates in IEP meetings and all other educational conferences for student.
Plans/develops curriculum including making adaptations/modifications as necessary to students' needs.
Responsible for training and the effective functioning of teacher assistants, teacher aides, volunteers and/or residential aides within learning centers/work areas and all classroom activities
Reviews plans, student programs, schedules, visits, etc., for the day with classroom staff.
RequirementsN.J. Teaching Certificates (Secondary Academic Subject, Teacher of Handicapped or Teacher of Students with Disabilities) for elementary and high school settings
Bachelor's Degree Required
Advanced computer skills
All new hires are required to attend orientation, upon hire.
